Do not give up on your real lashes just yet. An eyelash curler can save you money since you won’t have to buy fake lashes all the time and you will be able to brag to people that the lashes they see are all real and yours. Using something called an eyelash curler will give you the long, thick lashes you thought you would only get from the pros.
Step 1: Purchase an Eyelash Curler
It does not have to be the most expensive curler on the market, but there are many options. Not only are there just normal eyelash curlers but there are heated lash curlers also.
Non Heated Curlers:
Maybelline New York Expert Tools, Eyelash Curler– $4.04
Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler– $16.80
Heated Curlers:
Laura Mercier Eyelash Curler– $16
ModelCO. Turbo Lashwand Heated Eyelash Curler– $25
Japonesque Mini Heated Eyelash Curler– $15.90
Step 2: Put your Curler to Use

If your curler is just a regular metal curler then you may want to dip it in hot water or blow hot air from your blow dryer onto your metal curler for about 30 seconds, but make sure it is not too hot so you do not burn your eyelid. Apply your curler up against your cheek. For a heated curler, before application let heat for about a minute and make sure it is not too hot.

Begin to clamp your eyelashes with your non heated  curler. You will want to keep your hand towards your face. Do not pull away from your face with the curler closed to your lashes or it will pull your lashes off from your eyelid. For the heated lash curler do the same by keeping your hand towards your face but you will not have to worry about pulling your lashes out of your eyelid.

You do not just want to get as close as you can to the lash line and stop there. What you want to do is start as close to the lash line as possible and move up, for both heated and non heated lash curlers. You can move in three spots of your lashes. Start at the last line and move to the middle and to the tip of your lashes. With the metal lash curler, at each of these spots you are going to want to hold it for about 10 seconds and pump your lash curler. For the heated curler you are going to want to comb through your lash from the lash line up. With the heated curler you may want to change the angle of how you were applying the curler also for the best results.
Step 3: Repeat! Repeat! Repeat!
You can continue this process as much as you desire. If you want to do it a hundred times then you can. You pretty much keep going until you are satisfied with how your lashes look.
Step 4: Apply your Mascara to see Finished Product

There are some mascaras that work better for some people and not others. Just try different ones until you find the perfect one for you because that will definitely make a difference when it comes to seeing what your lash curler actually did for you. My personal favorite is the They’re Real by Benefit Cosmetics I would highly recommend that be one your first ones to try out.
They’re Real Benefits Cosmetics– $26
CoverGirl Lashblast Mascara– $5.89
Younique Lashes New Mood Struck 3D Fiber– $17
