We’ve all heard the hype about Jamberry nails and how easy and convenient they are! They sound like an absolute dream come true. Wrapping your nails with all sorts of intricate designs and fun colors. They last for over a week and don’t include any harsh chemicals? Yes, please!
We were a bit skeptical that Jamberry nails could truly be as great as they claim to be. Can they really look as great as they do in advertisements? Do they look like real polish and last as long as everyone says they do? Here’s our honest Jamberry nails review!
Jamberry Nails Reviews
The first thing we’d tell you is if you have gotten sample wraps from a Jamberry consultant. Don’t worry if they seem super narrow. They send one default size to everyone, and for those who have narrow fingernails. They work just fine but if you have wider nails, these won’t completely cover your nail. When you decide to order actual wraps, the manicure sets come with a wide range of sizes so you can find one that fits your nail properly. Many women trim the wraps a bit to make them fit exactly, just like they’d look with polish.
They’re super easy to apply if the wraps are warm. Consultants use little heat fans (like this one), but you can easily use a heat source like a toaster or toaster oven if you don’t have a heat fan.
Applying The Wraps
Make sure the wrap is nice and heated up. It’ll become pliable and you’ll see how easy it is to slide it onto your nail and move around until you get the perfect fit. As long as the wrap stays warm, you can smooth out any wrinkles or reposition them if you put it on wrong the first time. If it starts to harden, just heat the wraps up again and you can fix them. So application really is as easy as they say! It takes a bit of patience the first time you do it, so don’t think you’ll just slip them right on. But once you get the hang of the first nail or two it’ll be easy.
The wraps easily last a week before they start to show any signs of wear. Even after seven days of wear, the corners start to fray a bit but otherwise, they still look really great! If you don’t mind some fading or fraying you could easily get two weeks out of one manicure set, which is an awesome deal!
Removing The Wraps
We found removing the wraps to be really simple as well. You simply warm them up the same way you did when applying. Use a toothpick or tweezers to get under the wrap and peel it off of your nail. Some women say they usually find a bit of residue left on their nails after removing the wrap. It can be easily fixed with a bit of nail polish remover or even some hot soapy water.
All in all, we love Jamberry nail wraps! They’re a great value, easy to apply, and give you tons of versatility for your nails. We love how customizable they are for different holidays or even to match your outfit if you’re going to a wedding or important event. They’re a great way to save a few bucks at the salon, or if you don’t have any time to book an appointment.
